Clam Lake Guide & Taxidermy is located in Northern Wisconsin’s Ashland County, in the Heart of The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest surrounding Clam Lake, Wisconsin…some of the best grouse and woodcock hunting opportunities in the entire State!

Clam Lake Guide & Taxidermy provides guided bird hunts for ruffed grouse starting typically in mid-September. Our grouse hunts are 3 day minimum hunts and include tailgate lunches to enhance our time in the woods.

Owner/Operator Randy Search, offers 35+ years leading successful ruffed grouse hunts in the thousands of acres of prime grouse forestlands and some of the most remote terrain located in the deep woods and forests of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. We want to make your bird hunt in Northern Wisconsin a successful one!

Guide Rates*

Grouse Hunts

1 Hunter – $350 per day (3 day minimum)
2 Hunters – $600 per day (3 day minimum)
3 Hunters – $725 per day (3 day minimum)

Hunts include tailgate lunches.

What to Bring

• Proper game license for Wisconsin
• Valid hunting tag (if applicable)
• Proper clothing, contact us for recommendations
• Firearm, contact us for recommendations
• Good attitude

Out of State (Nonresident) Wisconsin Hunting Licenses

You must have the proper Wisconsin hunting license for your hunt. To get your hunting license(s) online, please visit the Wisconsin DNR web site – https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/GoWild/nonresident.html

Deposits and Cancellations

Please Note: 50% Deposit is required at the time of signing Contract and is non-refundable. Final payment 30 days prior to scheduled hunt.

No Cancellations: Hunts shall be Rescheduled upon receipt of final payment. A Rescheduled hunt is at the discretion of Clam Lake Guide & Taxidermy LLC.

Military & First Responder Discount: discount available to active and honorably discharged military members, law enforcement and first responders on our hunts and taxidermy services.
